was engaged by Seven
Network Operations Limited to conduct monitoring of the air inside an asbestos work enclosure in

zone. Air monitoring was conducted during a number of different simulated home renovation
scenarios including cutting asbestos cement with a circular saw and sanding asbestos cement with

Following the monitoring process, the membrane filters were analysed using phase contrast
microscopy in accordance with The National Guidance Note on the Membrane Filter Method for
Estimating Airborne Asbestos Dust [NOHSC: 3003 (2005)].
The concentrations of asbestos fibres in the workers breathing zone during these two tasks were
up to 32 times the national exposure standard of 0.1 fibres per ml.
