AFFILIATIONS:

Environmental Institute of Australia & New Zealand (EIANZ)
Queensland Laboratory's environmental consultants are all members of the EIANZ. All consultants are encouraged to participate in on going professional education seminars and courses provided by the institute.

Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)
Queensland Laboratory's occupational hygienists are all associate members of the AIOH. All hygienists are encouraged to participate in on going professional education seminars and courses provided by the institute. Kevin O'Hara (Director of Occupational and Environmental Health) is also a member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene Communications Committee.

Griffith University
Queensland Laboratory is actively involved in the Griffith University work placement program, providing students with the opportunity to gain industry placement, work experience, and on going professional advice. Queensland Laboratory staff are also engaged as guest lecturers for the Faculty of Environmental Science industry evenings.

NATA
Queensland Laboratory is NATA accredited for a number of different test methods. All signatories and approved NATA representatives are enrolled in the Proficiency Testing Australia (PTA) proficiency testing program to ensure the highest level of competence is maintained across the board.

MBR Environmental
MBR Environmental is an environmental consultancy specialising in marine and freshwater science, stormwater design and management, computer modelling including MUSIC, Aquacycle, E2, CatchmentSIM, MEDLI, and custom numeric models and large scale environmental management.

AQIS - Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service
Queensland Laboratory holds a permit under Section 13 (2AA) of the Quarantine Act 1908 with the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) to import, store and analyse quarantined soil material from all countries. All soil samples are heat treated to 121 degrees celcius for 2 hours upon receipt at the laboratory.
